MoneySense is the largest impartial financial education programme for children and adults across the country. Developed in partnership with teachers, MoneySense for Schools is aimed at 11–18s and their teachers. The programme has a presence in over 60% of secondary schools in the UK, supporting students in learning how to manage their personal finances.
The programme takes students through the basics of banking and money management, from the decision to open a bank account to budgeting, planning for higher education or living independently, and even setting up and running a business. The site offers engaging activities, through videos, games, interactive activities and quizzes to work on individually or as a group. You can find the resources at www.rbs.co.uk/moneysenseforschools.
The MoneySense for Schools programme has been designed to be easy for teachers to deliver, and clear, comprehensive teachers’ notes are provided within each of the four modules. If you are a teacher and not yet registered, please complete a registration form.
